Keith Mitchell writes: Adventures of Pip is a 2D side scrolling platformer that puts you into the role of Pip, a single pixel in a world of high resolution characters. When the kingdom he lives in is attacked and the princess is kidnapped by an evil queen, Pip is sent to find a hero to restore the peace. Instead however he stumbles onto the key to becoming a hero and takes it upon himself to save his missing princess. I actually had the pleasure of getting some hands on with the title during PAX East 2015 and felt that this game had the makings of something great. Did I feel the same way after finally playing the finished product? You better believe I did.

The three man team from Vancouver are busy working on their upcoming lane-based brawler, Viking Squad. Mayan Death Robots from Sileni Studios has been described as Scorched Earth meets Worms, a perfect blend of action and strategy. The Gamers Lounge got a chance to check out a preview of the game and the buzz out of PAX East 2015 was right. This game is a lot of fun.

With that being said, pixelated games was all the rage at PAX East. Pixelated indie gems were everywhere, but nothing compared to Axiom Verge. While I did not get the opportunity to get hands-on with the game, I was able to see attendees have fun with the game."

NGN: The opening scene starts with Geralt soaking in a wooden bathtub. Its quiet, serene, and soft - an all-too rare moment of peace for the White Wolf. While Geralt closes his eyes and relaxes a strange, scorpion-like creature slips into the water, pinching the unsuspecting Witcher. Geralt pulls the little monster from the water and tosses it on the floor while bantering with the sorceress who conjured the creature, sitting on a chair naked, save for the towel wrapped around her head. After a moment, the sorceress removes the towel and reveals her long, raven hair, indicating she is Yennefer, Geralts on-again-off-again lover from the novels. Geralt gets out of the tub and pulls on his clothes before exchanging a kiss with Yennefer - they must be on-again at the moment.

EB: While the demo ended on a somewhat odd twist, Beyond Eyes was an enjoyable experience. Not only was it one of the most unique games at PAX East this year but it got me excited for the full release. The art style is beautiful, the simplistic gameplay is surprisingly fun and the sound design is top notch.

I was always a bit rubbish at them and I was never super creative, and basically me playing those games is worse than giving a chimp LEGOs. Edge Of Space from Handyman Studios changes how I feel about those games though, because its essentially Terraria but in space and with more narrative and more reason to do things."
